Staying in Balance|Centered on Jesus
#stayinginbalance, #centeredonJesus, #philipjerome Music: https://www.bensound.com God's word is truth even if no one believes it. And a lie is still a lie, even if everyone believes it. God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. God is not evolving with time. Therefore, truth isn't determined by consensus or by the majority. Truth is not negotiable or debatable. Truth does not mutate with society as it changes. It does not conform to or accommodate our personal preferences. Truth is not a respecter of any person, race, color or creed. Truth does not hate because you disagree with it, don't like it, or believe it. John 14:6 Jesus says, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me. He is the gate, the door, the path, He is the narrow and straight way. So how do we navigate in a time when truth is under attack? 1 John 4:1-3, Romans 12:1-2, 2 Timothy 3:1, 2Timothy 3:5, 2 Timothy 4:3-4. In the last days people are going to reject the truth and chase after myths.
The Power of Our Words
#Wordshavepower, #PhilipJerome Music: https://www.bensound.com Have you ever said something and immediately after saying it you wish you could take it back? In Proverbs 18:21 it says, the tongue can bring death or life; those who love to talk will reap the consequences. As kids, when others would pick on you we would repeat this little rhyme: Sticks and stones may break my bones but names will never hurt me. It didn't take long to figure out, that was not true. Words do hurt as they have a lot of power and influence. Destructive words are when we insult others or attack their character. Gossip is talking negatively behind someone else's back. Sometimes we curse others, hoping the worst for them. Then there is always condemnation, anger and hatred. Destructive criticism is just wanting to inflict pain and lying in order to cover up the truth. Words that heal will praise others for what they have accomplished or for who they are and it honors them in front of others. It speaks blessings in and over their lives as we truly want them to prosper.
